I have paid €50 to submit my abstract, what does this entitle me to?
EASL charges €50 for abstract submission to ILC 2017. This a non-refundable fee, regardless of the abstract acceptance status. Poster printing will be available free of charge through the official ILC printer for all abstracts accepted for poster presentation. The EASL team will ensure delivery and display of your poster onsite at the allocated poster board on the day your poster has been scheduled.
My abstract has been rejected. Will I be reimbursed the abstract submission fee?
No. EASL does not refund any submission fee.
Where do I get my poster printed?
The abstract submission fee includes the printing of all abstracts accepted for poster presentation. EASL will provide information and full details via email to all accepted abstract submitters.
Where do I collect my poster?
There is a 30-minute allocated time slot (18:00-18:30 presenter poster collection) where presenters can collect their poster at the end of the day of their presentation if they wish.
If I submit an abstract to the ILC 2017, do I have to attend the congress?
All accepted abstracts are scheduled in the scientific programme either as oral or poster presentations. It is therefore expected that the presenting author of the selected abstract attends the congress to present the work and answer questions.
Only abstracts of registered delegates will be scheduled in the scientific programme.
When will I know if my submitted abstract has been accepted?
Abstract status notifications will be sent to all submitters on 25 January 2017, once all abstracts have been reviewed by the scientific committee.
My abstract has been accepted, but I do not have a copy. Are you able to send one to me?
You can retrieve your abstract, or check its status on the event portal.
I have applied for a young investigator bursary during the abstract submission, when will I be notified?
Notifications will be sent to all applicants by 25 January 2017. After that date, you will be able to check the status of your bursary under the abstract section of the event portal.
Will there be a late-breaker abstract submission period?
Yes, late-breaker abstract submission will be possible. Please consult the key dates.
How do I register to ILC 2017?
Please register via the online registration platform. Online registration is mandatory.
How can I pay the registration fees?
Payment of registration fees can be made by credit card or bank transfer, at the end of the registration process. From Tuesday 21 March 2017, only payments by credit card will be accepted.
Can I receive an invoice under the sponsoring company/institution’s name?
Yes, if you require an invoice to be issued to the sponsoring company, please send an e-mail to ILC.firstname.lastname@example.org specifying the services requested and full address of the sponsoring company.
Can I register to the congress without paying?
Yes, by selecting the bank transfer method of payment. However, your registration will only be confirmed once full payment is received. From Tuesday 21 March 2017, only payments by credit card will be accepted.
Can I register before the early fee deadline and pay later?
In order to benefit from the early fee registration, payment must be received before 31 December 2016.
Can I register on-site?
Yes, on-site registration is available during congress days, however full fees will apply.

Will I receive a confirmation letter once I have finished registering?
Yes, a detailed confirmation letter and receipt will be sent to you by e-mail as soon as payment is received and registration is complete.
Where can I find information about hotel availability and rates?
Reduced rates have been negotiated for ILC 2017 delegates in various hotels of Amsterdam. General information, pictures, , availability and rates are available here.
What does the price of the room include?
All rates are inclusive of 21% VAT (subject to government change). Breakfast is included in nearly all hotels.
The local city tax is never included in the price. It varies between EUR 3.00 and EUR 5.00 per room per night, or 5% of the room rate in the city centre, and 6.05% of the room rate in the airport area.
How can I book my room and should I pay in advance?
At the end of the registration process, you will have the possibility to book your accommodation with our official housing agency by clicking on the dedicated link.
Paying in advance is not mandatory, however a credit card guarantee is requested in order to confirm the booking. Should you wish to pay in advance or for more information about hotel booking policy, click here.
Can I reserve a room without a credit card?
No, a credit card guarantee is mandatory to confirm the booking.
How do I know my booking is confirmed?
As soon as the booking is confirmed, a confirmation e-mail will be sent.
How can I modify or cancel a booking?
To modify or cancel a hotel booking, click on the link available on your hotel reservation confirmation e-mail. You will be able to amend the booking directly online.
Can I book a hotel room without registering to the congress?
No, the negotiated hotel offer is strictly reserved to delegates who have already registered to attend the congress.

All data is secured following the recommended security best practices. All data is encrypted and all internal and external activity is logged providing a very clear audit trail.

How do I apply for a visa to Amsterdam?

You will be able to request a visa invitation letter during the registration process.

Is it possible to send an official invitation letter directly to my local Dutch consulate/embassy?
Unfortunately, we are unable to send invitation letters directly to consulates/embassy.
Invitation letters are prepared for individuals and groups who are registered to the congress and are e-mailed directly to them.
