EASL aims to support Young Investigators and helps them to attend The International Liver CongressTM by providing bursaries to cover travel and accommodation costs. Scientists with an excellent abstract that is accepted for presentation at the meeting will be considered for support.
EASL offers 2 types of bursaries to the presenting authors only of the best accepted abstracts who are aged 35 or under (as of 1 January) or are still in training.
The application is available during the abstract submission process, to anyone fulfilling the above criteria, without geographical restrictions.
On-site bursary payments
The payment of the YI bursaries to presenting authors will be processed after 14:00 on the day of their last presentation at the registration help desk. In order to verify physical presence onsite, poster presenters need to check-in before noon at the poster help desk each day for each poster presentation.
Note: a passport, driving license or other recognised identification document will be requested to verify your identity.
Bursary requests can only be made via the online abstract submission form during the abstract submission process. Requests received after abstract submission will not be considered.
The name of the presenting author must match the name of the applicant. EASL will only grant the above-mentioned bursaries to the presenting authors who attest that they are not being sponsored or financially supported by any other source in order to attend The International Liver CongressTM 2017.
The following supporting documents must be in English and are to be uploaded via the submission system as BMP, GIF, JPG or PDF files (size limit 1 MB) at the time of the abstract submission:
